Thieves Oil has been described as a miracle blend of purifying oils.  It dates back to the 15th century and was originally, discovered in Europe, by four thieves, who were robbing the infectious dead bodies of all their possessions. Miraculously they never contracted the highly infectious bubonic plague.   When they were caught and brought into court to be charged the magistrate offered them a deal, their secret for a reduced sentence. Taking the deal, this specific herbal blend is one that they had created, from aromatic herbs.  Thieves Oil is HIGHLY EFFECTIVE in killing all airborne bacteria and germs, which makes it a great immune booster and is SUPER powerful for cleaning your home and ridding it of germs, viruses and more.

6 Homemade Cleaners using Thieves Oil

Thieves Oil Glass and Mirror Cleaner

  • 5 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 1 capful of thieves cleaner
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar

Mix all ingredients in a glass spray bottle.  To use simply spray the surface and wipe clean with a lint free cloth.

Thieves Oil Deep Cleaning Scrub

  • 1 part Thieves cleaner
  • 1 Part Baking Soda

Mix in a small bowl until it creates a paste. To use simply apply to surface with a clean cloth or scrub brush.  Let sit for 15 minutes and rinse clean.  This is a great mixture to use on grout, tubs and showers.

Thieves Oil All Purpose Cleaner

  • 2-3 cups of water
  • 1 capful of Thieves cleaner

Mix all ingredients in a glass spray bottle.  Spray surface and wipe clean.  This mixture is my go to when cleaning the kitchen, wiping out the fridge or cleaning off countertops.

Thieves Oil Degreaser

  • 1 capful of Thieves cleaner
  • 1 cup of water

Mix into a small bowl or spray bottle.  To use, spray surface and gently rub with a cloth to remove grease.  For tougher jobs leave on for a longer time to allow it to soften the stain.  This can be used in ovens, greasy dishes and even clothing.

Thieves Oil Wood Floor Cleaner:

  • 10 drops of Pine Essential Oils
  • 1 capful of Thieves cleaner
  • 1 cup of Olive Oil

Mix all into a bucket of warm water and apply evenly floors with a damp mop.

Thieves Oil Carpet Cleaner (Spot Removal)

6 cups of water

1 capful of Thieves cleaner

Mix all into a spray bottle.  To use, spray carpet spot with the Thieves Oil Carpet Cleaner and blot or lightly scrub with a damp cloth.  This is also great to use in small carpet steamers for spot cleaning.
