Throwing a party fit for a princess can be a lot of fun. It can also be overwhelming. After all, it is stressful wearing a tiara. But there is no need to worry. I’m here to tell you that the pressure does not have to ruin your princess’s special day. I have put together some tips and tricks to help you throw the perfect party bash.
The most important thing to remember when throwing a princess party is that you need to keep the princess happy. It is her special day and she should be showered with love, attention, and kindness. I have noticed a trend with my children. When you spend quality time with them, they are genuinely happy. Those little ones thrive on your excited involvement in everything they do. Be excited about their big day. Dance, sing, and celebrate. Learn to let go of the small things and concentrate on your princess. Now read on for some great tips to throwing a princess party!
Timing
Plan your celebration around your child’s schedule. You do not want to find your princess having a meltdown while she is supposed to be blowing out her candles. If she usually naps in the afternoon do not plan her party at the same time. Instead, have a mid-morning bash or an evening party.
Decorations
There are so many different ways to decorate for a princess party. The best approach to decorating is to choose a specific princess theme, like Cinderella or Jasmine, or choose a few princess colors such as purple, yellow, and green. Color coordinating the balloons, table cloths, and streamers with your princess’s gown is a guaranteed eye catcher. Decorate a chair with ribbons, balloons, and rhinestones to create a throne for the birthday princess. You could also transform a wagon into a carriage. Let your princess fill it full of her favorite dolls for a ride to the ball. A bubble machine will create a great back drop. Even if your party is indoors, place the bubble machine outside of a window or a sliding glass door.
Menu
Keep the menu simple. Use a cookie cutter to create heart or crown shaped sandwiches. Serve fruit kabobs or large pretzel rods as princess wands. Fill mason jars with pink lemonade for a refreshing drink. You can also use the birthday cake as a center piece decoration. If your budget is slim, making a princess cake can be very affordable and easy to make at home. There are several princess themed cake molds available at most craft stores that would make baking your own birthday cake a snap.
With accommodations aimed towards satisfying your princess, a few yummy treats, and a cheery attitude…. your princess party will be the perfect occasion to create everlasting memories for your family and all of your guests.
