Heavenly Apple Crisp Recipe
Ingredients:
- 10 cups diced apples (Try using Gala, Fuji, Jonagold or Braeburn apples)
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tbls Flour
- 1 Tbls Cinnamon
Topping Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup Melted Butter (The real stuff tastes best!)
- 1 Cup Quick Cook Oats
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, packed
- 1/4 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place diced apples into a bowl and sprinkle sugar, flour and cinnamon over apples. Mix well to evenly coat the apples. Pour into 9×13 pan. Pack the apples into your pan using the back of a spoon.
Melt butter in a large bowl using the microwave (1-2 minutes at 50% power to avoid over heating and a mess in the microwave). Add oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda and baking power and mix well.
Sprinkle the crumbled topping mixture over the apples. (I like to use my hands to do this. It allows me to more accurately and evenly spread the topping over the apples.)
Bake, uncovered for about 45 minutes. Cool for about 10 minutes (to avoid burning your mouth) before serving. Serve with ice cream and/or whipped topping if desired.
I hope you enjoy this easy recipe. Fall is the perfect time of the year to take the kiddos to pick apples and this easy recipe makes it very easy to spend a little more time with the kiddos in the kitchen! I’m sure your family will enjoy this Heavenly Apple Crisp Recipe just as much as mine does!

This is one of my favorite! My grandmother would send my grandfather to the house with 2 pans. He would drop them off and be on his merry way. I would take one to the kitchen and one to my bedroom and eat the entire pan! I KNOW! I’m horrible! But it was soooo good! Thanks for the suggestions on the apples. I tried mine with applesauce and it was a mushy mess! Also wanted to let you know about a new linky party starting this Saturday (tonight) at 8pm called “Found & Foraged” Can’t wait to party with you at http://www.houseofhipsters.com
